This is what they like to do with my videos in China

I don't have any context for how the video was posted or what the audience of the site is like, but I think it's pretty cool. I'm not actually talking about the form performance (which was great, of course), but rather the comments. They were really complementary, which I wasn't expecting, honestly. It's a pretty rare thing on martial art forums in general, and I was surprised Chinese would complement a Westerner so enthusiastically. So that's what I thought was cool.

I will say though, that my favorite comment was to the effect, "Practice this form closely and your hair will fall out after practice" :ROFLMAO:

I think those comment are fairly standard for the Chinese audience. Since this comes from their culture, the have seen a lot and are pretty well versed in the rarity of actual development, in ANY students. Simply put, they have had the benefit of witnessing so so so much suckage on the Chinese internet that we don't see here. When they see someone who made progress they are often very straight about it, if it is a foreigner it is usually louder and more controversial. There are always those who express surprise that a foreigner can do it, and there are those who are unhappy that a foreigner can do it, feeling that it is a conspiracy. It is unfortunate they chose one of my least favorite videos to post.

"A fist (martial art) that is the result of putting in gongfu, better than many Chinese, maybe in the future we will need to travel to learn Taiji."

"Mediocre, the mysteries of Taiji are not for outsiders to know!"

"That is a certainty, when the time comes a special Chinese youngster will be glorious in practicing Lamb 羊 Style Taiji (the commenter misspelled Yang 杨 style)
