Thanks Marin ! What is overall the translation ? I guess it's positive if it's from a friend but just curious :)

It's really long - It's a bunch of culturally specific idioms about gongfu all crushed together, talking about how to achieve gongfu and the requirements for practice and the path etc... kind of poetic.

My mandarin sucks and I can barely make out words here and there 😓

That song in the background came from a TV series from HK in the 70s

I saw this video a long time ago, but watching it again I notice the move at 0:50, where the "hop" seem active and high (or it seem that you lift both feet pretty high, and both feet were off the ground at on point). I've always like the look of this move but it's such a weird move lol.

It's not weird really, but it is one of those moves you have to really practice a LOT to finally understand it. It requires some serious consideration for timing and relating different body parts. There are different ways to do it of course, one can remain more stationary and focus on one application, but in this case I was practicing this form pretty fast and most steps became running.

It's something I haven't seen in any other line. Presumably, if it was ever there, it was edited out for performance. I think of it as a "carrot" move-- it's a move I want to chase after and get to so I can see what it's all about.

The way I am showing it here actually hides most of the function of it, blurs into the action. It has clear applications that are not clear here.

I understood quite a lot of it, but I had to have my wife help me with the idioms, there are a lot of them and not obvious meanings.
