First, How it works:
The treasure of this site is behind the not so secret door. Current cost of training is $120USD monthly.
This member area of this site has (currently) over 1300 threads which include instructional videos with detailed step by step construction of basic practices, form movements, drills, partner practices, applications and accessory practices. There are currently over 6000 member and instructor contributed detailed discussions and corrections of the practices as well as a significant bit of off color humor. Each student is taught and moved forward in the curriculum on an individual basis when previous skills have been attained at a personal pace.
We have online (live) video lessons every two weeks on one weekday evening and one weekend morning (eastern US time zone) that feature individualized instruction.
Many students have made very good and tangible progress in what others would consider to be the 'holy grail' of so-called 'internal arts' structural and movement abilities by online training alone, but most also opt to add local in person training visits and biannual workshop attendance in the US and Europe as well for usage training and a lot of fun.

*****

All online training is by application and invitation only. I am not trying to teach the masses of public casual students.
If one wants to apply, send me a private message ("conversation") as described below.

I am not taking on teachers, nor engaged students of other teachers. Those who are either financially or ideologically invested in an existing style or school do not need this training and I do not feel like competing with the demands of your existing practice, as I actually work quite hard as a teacher and do not want to waste my effort and time when I know you cannot focus on the art.

I am only interested in teaching committed students who are likely and able to go the distance to actually become good practitioners of this art. If I was in this for accumulation of students, fame and money I would be doing something different and easier.

If you have a teacher and a practice that you are happy with in a related art then this curriculum is not for you, and will be impossible for you to learn. This is likely by-far the most physically challenging and conceptually detailed and complex forms of Chen Taijiquan in existence. It will require your full attention, focus and commitment to accurately pattern it to your body and mind. It is not going to be successfully built and patterned and acquired in competition to different structures and body methods from other practices, as the developmental skills are rather fragile to maintain in the early years. Besides that, everyone starts from the beginning. I am not interested in cleaning up the mess left by other teachers and other curriculums, we will build this the right way from the ground up, no half measures.

Additionally, I am not "selling" this art. I have maintained my rather low profile and unpopular stance staying true to the real gongfu instead of trying to commodify the art for some decades and that is not about to change. I was heavily criticized for this over the years but I also had many from established commercial schools attempting to get what details they could from me to take back to sell on their platforms or schools. So again, I am not teaching teachers outside of very special arrangement and established relationships.

Those who are doing well making money on their school and reputation do not need my help, nor do I need to subsidize their desires. In gongfu you get what you pay for, in a way; if you spent your decades chasing money, fame & status, then that is what you get, and it works. People make a lot of money. But I have had those same people coming to me after 20 years of time, money spent and much more money earned, lamenting that now they really want to learn real gongfu. You get what you pay for. None of THOSE folks want to stop making their money and promoting their reputation while they learn from me and give credit to themselves and their promoted teachers. In the end there is zero benefit for me to teach them. Please do not bother asking, it is not going to happen.

This curriculum is for those who are ready to start over, from the beginning and learn the real traditional family gongfu of the Chen FaKe line through Chen Zhaokui in all its detail, and stop learning other forms of Taijiquan or related arts in order to fully assimilate this and assign the same focus to learning it as I do in teaching it. It is unlikely that anyone else teaches it as I do and therefore I am also unlikely to bother with students who just want to learn it as others do.

Prior experience is not required, however some degree of health and ability are. Taijiquan is not designed to cure old age, and although I can work with you if you have injuries or physical issues I cannot suggest you try this if you are infirmed and I cannot be responsible if you injure yourself within the normal range of physical exercise.

If you want to apply, write me a message/email detailing your history with martial arts, your reasons and goals for interest in learning, and tell me why THIS school and style? I am not the suitable teacher for everyone so I do need to know why you chose this style and this teacher. Without a good reason there are other places easier and better suited most likely. I will want to know what your current training status, teachers and future plans for training area to see if you suit the goals outlined above. Thank you.
